Aerial Overhead Fiber Optic Cable 80M-120M Span
The ASU Fiber Optic Cable (Aerial Self-Supporting Unit) is engineered for outdoor aerial distribution networks where a lightweight, non-metallic solution is required. As an All-Dielectric cable, the ASU eliminates the need for grounding and is immune to electromagnetic interference, making it the perfect choice for installation alongside power lines on utility poles.

Cable Structure
The ASU fiber optic cable structure is optimized to withstand wind load and ice weight without sagging:
- Central Strength Member (FRP): Solid Fiber Reinforced Plastic rod providing high tensile strength while keeping the cable completely non-metallic
- Loose Tube Technology: PBT loose tubes containing optical fibers (up to 144 cores) stranded around central member with water-blocking jelly protection
- Rip Cord: Included for easy jacket stripping during termination
- Outer Sheath (PE): UV-stabilized High-Density Polyethylene jacket protects against harsh sunlight, abrasion, and environmental weathering
